As a Senior Consultant, I have seen many facilities and I have to say Mom and Dads House is one of the best! It has a nice homey atmosphere and everything is immaculate. While I was there many residents were engaged in activities and Ivonne the owner was preparing a delicious hot lunch. Their home is beautifully decorated and has a lovely yard and patio. Everything is light bright and inviting. Working with Ivonne is always a pleasure. Her kind and generous nature made everything easy for my client and her family.
Having my mother-in-law at Mom and Dad’s House gives our family such peace of mind, because we know she is safe and so well cared for. The house is always clean and inviting, the people who care for the residents are patient and experienced in working with the elderly. The owners, Ivonne and Matt, are very hands-on and work hard to give the residents lots of activities during the week and also with family members. I wish I had a place like Mom and Dad’s house for my mother in the few years before she passed away instead of a traditional skilled nursing facility. I highly recommend Mom and Dad’s House if you’re looking for a home environment for your loved one that will provide excellent, loving care every day.
I visited this facility The one that we’re considering right now is called Mom & Dad's House. They’re wonderful. It’s a great place. I like it. I visited several other facilities that were assisted living and one memory care, and this place is my favorite. I met several staff members. They were very informative. They took me on a tour. They asked me if I had any questions and gave me some written information. They all seemed to be very knowledgeable and really attentive to the other women that were there. There were 5 women that live there. The rooms were very nice. The dining area is a single dining room table, and they eat family style. They only have facilities for 6 people, and they all sit around the table and eat together. I thought the pricing was competitive. It was good pricing. I absolutely recommend this place to others. I am a friend or relative of resident GODSEND. The best word to describe the caring, loving, friendly,spotless-ly clean home care at this place. My elderly aunt could no longer live at home due to many physical challenges (and a little confusion, too)..and I searched all over the southern Cal area for a board and care -- and this was almost the only one I would have considered. At this house, residents are treated with respect and dignity, and cared for with attention. The owners and staff make extra effort; tea party for Mother's Day, holiday decorations, visiting art teacher, pets can visit, etc. The rooms are light, airy and cleaned many times throughout the day. There are two separate common areas to use for visits, plus a patio. The vibe is always upbeat, the staff never seems to feel the burden of this challenging work. It's fantastic. My aunt has settled in and we are both so very pleased to have finally found a new "home" for her next decade. 🙂
Have had my Mom here for over 4 months. I have been very satisfied with my Mom's care. The staff is wonderful and truly care about the residents. The food is great, home-cooked served with fresh fruits and vegetables. Ivonne, the owner, has been so helpful and caring. She or her husband, Matt, transport my Mom and I to all Mom's doctor visits, which has been a tremendous help. They encourage visitations and always make you feel welcome! This "house" is a gem!
